Just wondering what your thoughts are (for or against) the government increasing gas prices to reduce the usage of automobiles.
On one hand it can help the environment, but on the other commuters (like myself) who have no choice but to drive to work, causes a big hole in my wallet at the end of the month.
What do you think?
The government does not control gas prices. They are up because of commodity speculators are greedy. As for Venezuela, that is a communist regime bent on causing problems for the USA.

i think they could be much lower.. in venzenwelll a gallon gas is 35cents.. and the pres gives cuba one million gals of crude oil free every day… in exchange for doctors help of the people.. in mexico a gallon of diesen is 200 and you arent allowed to bring any home… diesel here is allmosgt 5 dollars.. i put in oil fired hot water years ago the fuel was 50 then 60cents as long as i bought a thousnd gallons.. now i con only afford to put in five gallons at a time and leave it off until i need to do the dishes and take a shower.. ok

could be the goverment and kind of is if you think about it gas was high or going up much before the war started.. but since it started its been on the rise…and really if the goverment wanted to do something i would be no hummers or big gas sucks trucks and cars they would be all about the same …. no more big v 8 power

I truly believe that Americans are in for a lifestyle change.
We need to re-think why our cars are big on speed and high on fuel consumption.
It certainly would make no sense for people to stop driving. How would they get to work, hospital, grocery store, etc.?
