* Slow down. Driving faster causes poor gas mileage. The difference between 55 and 65 mph can be two mpg.
* Don’t let your engine idle for more than a couple minutes.
* Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner can also cost you up to two mpg.
* Pace yourself. Unnecessary speeding up and slowing down can cause a loss of an additional two mpg.
* Get a tune-up. A properly tuned engine can be worht one mpg.
