Please google: "The Green Zone: The Military's Addiction to Oil".
It is down in the Article a little, but it is astounding.

Right the Iraq war is raising the price of gas, and not the fact that Bill Clinton outlawed any drilling in ANWR, or off the coast of California, and environmental democrats have stopped every attempt at increasing domestic oil exploration or production, which puts the USA at the mercy of other oil producing countries. But you go ahead and blame Bush while you continue to praise the politicians that are really causing the problem.

Nothing!! The war in Iraq has nothing to do with the price of gas. Hell, all you anti-war fools were saying "no blood for oil" because you were just so sure that the war was to get their oil, well now the war is costing oil?? Pick a wrong idea to back already.

Regardless, even IF Iraq were causing higher gas prices, (which it isn't, but just for argument), the cost of the millions of lives that will be lost due to genocide should we pick up and leave far outweighs $4.00 a gallon. We need to finish the job.

Environmental damage? What, you been over there? It's a frickin' desert. And as far as gasoline price per gallon, I suggest taking an economics class or two. It is called supply and demand and has NOTHING to do with Iraq.

Hmm if/ when oil runs out of the current oil selling countries, does that mean we would have a grasp on the oil economy of the world by opening those particular sites to oil drilling at that time?

Ending the war MIGHT TO A SMALL DEGREE, lower US per gallon gas prices. But sadly, the damage already has been done: Once American Big Oil has a taste for sweet profit$ ( currently near $4 per gallon ), you can kiss the $ 2 per gallon prices goodbye forever.

Enviromental damage??? Don't you REALLY mean "economic damage"???

Still, ending the Iraq War has it's good merits: Doing so WILL save America infinite scores of billions of $$$$, get the lazy Iraq people off their duffs and work towards defending THEIR OWN country and may even shift our US Military to aim for capturing Osama (you remmeber—that bin Laden guy???) dead or alive ( I prefer dead, personally ).

But the "war" IS a juicy ca$h cow for many; ending it will pizz off some pretty powerful (and dangerous) people……
