Petrol has fallen from recent highs of about £1.20 a litre to 94p a litre. The utility companies always blame soaring wholesale gas prices as the reason for their 20% price increases, as the gas market is linked to the oil market. Any ideas anyone?
The government should have intervened to force the prices down but hasn’t. At the risk of being cynical I wonder how deep the brown envelope syndrome goes with this government.
I think gas prices will go to $5.50 or more before people actually start doing something.

I’ve struggled with the British Gas website but can’t find a cost per unit. I just want a VAGUE idea of cost per unit - am I looking at 10p? £1? £10?
I just want to know roughly in what ballpark the figure will be
I mean per unit on my meter - I know how many units have gone by on it and i'd like to be to ROUGHLY estimate a cost
try calling them and ask

i want to drive to brampton, ont from edmonton,ab. but i wanted to know how much it will cost me in gas.does anyone know or tell me where i can find the answer.thanks
depends on your vehicle of course but if you get about 400km from a tank it will take you about 9 tanks each way.
Edmonton to Toronto is 3528 kilometres (2193 miles) by road, which if you were to drive would take 36 hours behind the wheel plus rest and fuel stops along the way.
