According to Yahoo maps and driving directions, it is 1130.9 miles from Dallas, Tx. to Orlando, Florida. I am going to round that off to 1130 and add 20 miles..
I am going to estimate 15 m.p.g.1130/20 = 76.6
I am going to round that off to 60 and set gas price at $2.50 although gas is cheaper than that now.
76.6* 2.5 =191.6 so $191.60 ONE WAY

What do you plan to do if you have a flat tire, or other malfunction on the way?

Are you going alone? You can get roundtrip promotional fares on Southwest Airlines for $89 - $129 one way. From DAL to MCO lowest rate would be $206 including taxes and fees.
http://www.southwest.com/
7-day advanced purchase roundtrip ticket on Greyhound bus is $188. You can get a student discount if you qualify.

Figure out your mpg, then miles to Orlando from Dallas, price per gallon, and there you go. Add more for A/C or hauling a trailer.

I drove from Austin to LA, getting 30 mpg, last summer, and spent about $200 in gas. 1400 miles.
References :
Let's see:

Mileage from Dallas to Orlando is 1,140 Miles (rounded).

Your vehicle gets: 14.2 MPG

Gas Tank capacity: 30 gallons

You typically get around 430 miles per tank of gas.

1142 divided by 14.2 = 3.5

So I will round to 4 times to fill the tank.

- one tank costs on average of $2.47 x 30 = $74.10/tank

- $74.10 x 4 (fill ups) = $296.40 (rough estimate)

Does not include snacks, tolls etc.

Also the drive takes an estimated 16 hours 51 minutes to drive from Dallas to Orlando non-stop.
References :
If you have to ask the price, (believe me)...
You can not afford it.
Take the BUS.
